Values

Solve Problems That Improves Lives

What does this mean?

Does this project truly solve the life changing problems?

We believe our products will be impactful and financially sustainable into the future.

We identify who our solutions are helping, and whether these are the people who need it most.

The problems aren’t always solved with technology - what is the best way to solve this problem, with or without technology?

Example behaviours & questions

We assess a project opportunity around whether it actually improves lives.

Are we able to find a solution to this problem? Can we actually help?

We assess an opportunity based on the lives it impacts - are we helping the right people?

Improve Myself, Each Other & Customers

What does this mean?

A culture of constant growth and learning.

We support each other in our personal growth. There are no stupid questions and it is ok not to know how to do something.

As individuals, we look for opportunities to improve and grow, personally and professionally.

We are greater than the sum of our parts and are the strongest when we work together.

Example behaviours & questions

Correcting a colleagues mistake in a supportive and constructive way.

Working on your personal coaching and training plan in between coaching sessions.

When we see a knowledge gap in a project with a partner, we educate the partner and are patient with them

Become Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable

What does this mean?

Challenge the norms, whether these be industry norms, personal or societal norms or even Curve norms.

Be prepared to be questioned yourself and learn to become comfortable with being challenged.

Healthy conflict is important to growth

Example behaviours & questions

Respectfully challenging someone who is senior to you in the business.

When you find yourself in conflict with a colleague, listen to them, hear them out and absorb what they are saying. Don’t take it personally.

Learn each other’s conflict styles

Everyone Leads

What does this mean?

There is no hierarchy and we are each responsible for our roles, our growth and our careers.

There are lots of ‘grey areas’ in our work. Learn to operate within these and look for opportunities.

You don’t need a title to take initiative.

Everyone has a voice and you can approach anyone with an idea or solution.

Entrepreneurship and a startup mindset stays at our core.

Two things don’t fly… blame or shame

Example behaviours & questions

You see an opportunity for an improvement within the business, that is outside your role but you raise it anyway.

A new team member is feeling a bit lost with something that isn’t your responsibility.

You put your hand up for a project or quarterly objective, knowing it’s usually outside your scope of work.

You look for a more cost effective way to do something, without losing the ‘start up’ pace of the business.

Only Create Products That People Love

What does this mean?

Don’t ship it unless you’re proud of it.

Maintain the quality of your work, no matter what you are working on.

Our products must be user focused at their core - easy to use for users, and effective for our partners

Example behaviours & questions

User Experience and simplicity are thoroughly tested and reviewed in each project.

If we feel a product doesn't have this key ingredient we put in extra effort to make sure it does. Sometimes at the detriment to profit!

Innovate When You Create

What does this mean?

Don’t accept ‘what we’ve always done’ if you see a better way.

How can new technologies and innovations help us impact more lives?

Example behaviours & questions

Identify better ways of doing things.

Many of the PM’s are trained in strategic innovation and apply these techniques to new products. Considering trends and tends in future health and technology.

Team Culture - Not Just a BUZZWord

Every company talks about team culture, but it’s not something that happens by accident. The current Curve team culture was carefully designed and has been refined and curated over the years. The directors set out knowing the team they wanted to build and we welcome in those that match our values as people.

How We Keep Work Interesting

At Curve, you’ll be working across different projects, with different teams and project managers and getting to know the products. We are also branching out into our own products which provides further chance for variety and broader scope.

Flat Hierarchy - Have Your Voice Heard

But with a flat hierarchy, your voice and ideas are just as important as anyone else’s. You can access and talk to anyone in the company, all the way to the directors. You’ll even meet the directors in the interview process.

Fair Reward - You Can Focus On The Work

Being purpose driven is important to us, but we also want to pay our team fairly. We also want you to enjoy success with us through bonuses. If we win, you should too!  Salaries are offered based on market research and are reviewed every year, but also if there are any role or responsibility changes. We set a profit target each year and some key performance areas, and if we meet our targets, the team goes on an amazing trip together! We’ve already been to Vietnam and Bali in the last few years and look forward to more trips to celebrate our success together.

Meaningful Work - Fulfill Your Purpose

Curve is a ‘Purpose Driven Social Enterprise’. This means that all profit that is created is used to impact more lives and go after our purpose.

Nice work culture and work-life balance, all the employees can voice their opinions and raise concerns, which are all heard by the management and appropriate actions are taken.
